Nature Paintings

The images below are inspired by two places with very similar backgrounds but located on two different continents and separated by an ocean: Colorado and Switzerland.  The diversity of nature in both these mountain environments is impressive and it appears in many shapes and sizes, from the tiny hummingbird to the towering mountains (Rockies and Alps alike). 

When you spend enough time in both places, it's clear that citizens of both colorful Colorado and pristine Switzerland love and appreciate the raw natural beauty of their respective homes. There is something magical about the high pitch whistle of a hummingbird flitting by or the cackle of the Magpie.  While the air is thinner at higher elevation, the skies produce some of the most memorable colors, from crystal blue hues, to peach purple sunrises and dramatic mint and coral sunsets.  Nature, after all, is also an artist.
